Concert LyricOpéra: Le Baroque sans frontières
About this event
A musical journey into the heart of the Baroque, from Europe to China. From Bach, Vivaldi and Handel to the Chinese sounds of “Mo Li Hua,” a dialogue between cultures, brought to life by period instruments and the richness of musical traditions.
From Europe to China: a musical journey through the Baroque era
LyricOpéra invites you on an amazing musical journey through Baroque Europe, all the way to the gates of China.
From Bach and Vivaldi to Handel, Castrucci, Bellinzani, Geminiani, Gabrielli and Greesleeve, this program brings the different musical sensibilities of the Baroque era into dialogue. The journey continues with “Mo Li Hua,” a famous traditional Chinese melody that offers a surprising resonance between cultures.
Three passionate instrumentalists accompany us on this musical journey:
- Christian Mendoze, recorder
- Charles-Edouard Fantin, archlute and Baroque guitar
- Danièle Schön, cello
A concert devoted to discovery, where the sounds of earlier times, historical instruments and influences from elsewhere create a genuine dialogue between cultures.
With LyricOpéra, the Baroque travels… and borders disappear.
