LE GRAND MECHANT LOUP
A theater, puppetry, shadow and object show.
Written and performed by Audrey Vecco Not recommended for anyone under 16
Once upon a time, there was a little village girl, the prettiest anyone had ever seen. They called her Little Red Riding Hood. Now, at the dawn of her adult life, the girl who was forbidden from having any adventures has grown up. She is now breaking free from her fear and defying the rules. When she meets the most famous of wolves, our red-clad heroine throws herself into a game of forbidden pleasures, gratification, and romantic and/or sexual obsession. What ideal is she pursuing?
The show “Le Grand Méchant loup” dares to speak about and show intimacy in a raw and naked way, using the filters and distancing techniques offered by puppetry, shadow theater and object theater.
A fairy tale for adults—or for the child who lives on in each of us, the one who loves to play, to take pleasure without compromise, and who is not always aware of the danger.
