Take any subject from history, approach it from a female perspective, and you will inevitably see new things emerge.” Three resistance fighters, three intertwined destinies: a journey into women’s struggle against Nazism. During the Second World War, women’s crucial role was long forgotten. Couriers, activists, rescuers and organizers of clandestine networks, many of them joined this “army of shadows.” Through portraits of Geneviève de Gaulle, Mila Racine and Lucie Aubrac, Les Résistantes emphasizes the importance of their actions for freedom. After the show Léon Blum, une vie héroïque, Philippe Collin, Violaine Ballet and Charles Berling once again draw on podcasts broadcast on France Inter to imagine this creation. Combining theater, radio, drawing and song, the fresco brings together performers and artists from the region. Together, they compose a choral narrative in which individual destinies meet the larger story. A collective experience in which the audience is invited to participate through songs and discussions.
