The confrontation between two female figures at the height of power in a world where men maneuver in the shadows. A masterful interpretation of a text that is burning with relevance today! In this play, Schiller tells the story of the rivalry between Mary Stuart, Queen of Scotland, and Elizabeth I, Queen of England. Imprisoned in England, the Catholic Mary Stuart is accused of plotting against Elizabeth’s Protestant rule. The play gives rise to a vibrant relationship, shaped by political and religious struggles for influence, but also by mutual fascination. For this production, director Chloé Dabert brings the eras into dialogue. The costumes and hairstyles draw their inspiration from the 16th century. The set design, soundscape and lighting create a space of clean lines and a colder, more contemporary atmosphere. A gripping political thriller with feminist overtones and twelve performers on stage! Text by Friedrich von Schiller, directed by Chloé Dabert. With Bénédicte Cerutti, Jacques-Joël Delgado, Koen De Sutter, Sébastien Éveno, Cyril Gueï, Jan Hammenecker, Mireille Herbstmeyer, Tarik Kariouh, Marie Moly, Océane Mozas, Makita Samba, Arthur Verret. Running time: 3h45
