Mektoub x Le Talus
Friday, September 18, Mektoub returns to Marseille for a special edition at Le Talus!
Much more than an evening. Mektoub is an ode to connection and a celebration of our Amazigh and African heritage. Born from the vision of artists Azul and Kbira, this project combines electronic sounds (bass, Brazilian funk, amapiano, gqom) and live performances (synth, mandole, darbuka) for a unique journey between tradition and modernity. Our hennaya Holy Habiba will be there. Let yourself go and entrust your hand to her sharp point to see Amazigh-inspired henna symbols appear. Come early: places are limited, unlike her talent! Line-up Azul x Kbira x Iszo Azul and Kbira, co-founders of the Mektoub parties, embody a shared vision: celebrating cultural diversity through unique artistic experiences. With roots deeply anchored in the traditions of the Maghreb and the Amazigh world, Kbira fuses sounds from this region with urban styles such as AfroBass, hip-hop, gqom, baile funk and more. Her energetic, vibrant music turns every set into an unforgettable sonic journey. Born in Marseille, Azul draws on his Berber and African roots to create immersive music. Through DJing, composition and performances combining tradition and modernity, he invites audiences on an authentic and unifying artistic exploration. Together, they explore musical and cultural boundaries, offering worlds where rhythms and identities meet and enrich one another. Iszo Between bass music, empowerment and Afro-diasporic aesthetics, ISZO draws on her Algerian and Egyptian origins to explore the multiplicity of styles. Afro & Arabic bass, Brazilian funk, jungle, jersey, juke, footwork and jump up: she champions the affirmation of identities and party culture through music. The space becomes a terrain for social experimentation, bringing audiences together as a collective. : Friday, September 18, 6:30–11 p.m. €5 presale / €8 at the door Membership in the association is mandatory: the amount is up to you ' ̀ ?
