Parcours permanent du [mac] - 30 ans de collection - La collection et ses invités

A remarkable collection featuring works by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Niki de Saint-Phalle, César and others. The [mac] collection brings together works from artistic movements that emerged from the 1960s to the present day. Comprising a thousand or so objects, its historical and conceptual origins lie in the break brought about by the contributions of the Nouveau Réalistes. Other highlights include groups of works linked to Narrative Figuration, Arte Povera, American Conceptual and Performance Art, Fluxus and Supports/Surfaces. You will see works by César, Arman, Raymond Hains and Martial Raysse, as well as by Paul Thek, Franz West and Gaetano Pesce. The collection includes paintings, sculptures, photographs, films and installations. Its presentation, revised according to temporary displays, creates links between the various exhibitions during guided tours. ► Visit Videomuseum The [mac] collection is available online through the national Videomuseum network, the Network of Public Collections of Modern and Contemporary Art, of which the City of Marseille is a member. ► To be sure of being able to enjoy a complete visit to all our exhibition rooms, we invite you to contact the museum before your visit. ► All tours and activities related to the exhibition are available at musees.marseille.fr
