Phonurgia Nova Awards 2026
About this event
The Phonurgia Nova Awards are an observatory of emerging creation in the field of sound. Boldness, exploration, sound art and narrative innovation: from radio to podcasts, every sound-based form of the 21st century is represented!
With the help of numerous European partners, they identify and honour authors who explore reality and the sound-based imagination.
Following a call for applications that closed on 15 June, the pre-selection committee chose 51 works around which the 2026 edition is being built, giving considerable space to new talent. Presented in exceptional listening conditions, the works will be compared, discussed and illuminated by the talent of those who champion them: composers, producers, programmers, essayists and critics. The jury will deliberate in public and in the presence of the artists during a two-day listening marathon, then present the awards and creative residencies.
