Sandrine Piau et Trio Wanderer

Sandrine Piau, soprano Jean-Marc Philips-Varjabédian, violin Vincent Coq, piano Raphael Pidoux, cello Olivier Bellamy, narrator

What if Beethoven were the spiritual guide the disoriented world has been waiting for? As selfishness sharpens and human madness tramples the world, Beethoven’s libertarian message resonates even more strongly. In his work, the aspiration toward new paths is never severed from an admiration for the past. Under the guidance of Olivier Bellamy, who tells us Beethoven’s story, Trio Wanderer pulls out all the stops (sometimes with two performers) to take us on a journey through some of the treasures of the Michelangelo of music. As Beethoven said: “Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy.”
