Table ronde « Patients, bénévoles, soignants »
About this event
A morning of discussions open to everyone about volunteering in hospitals and nursing homes (EHPAD), the voices of patients and residents, and ethics in the relationship between patients, volunteers and healthcare professionals, with a contribution from Dr Barthélémy Tosello.
Patients, volunteers, healthcare professionals: the power of being there, a bond that unites us.
To mark the end of its 60th anniversary year, the VMEH 13 association (Visiting Patients in Hospital Facilities and Residents in Nursing Homes) is organizing a morning of discussion and reflection, open to everyone: patients, residents, loved ones, volunteers, healthcare professionals and anyone interested in the subject.
The round table will address three themes:
- Volunteering today in hospital departments and nursing homes (EHPAD): the role and place of volunteers supporting people who are ill, older or isolated, and how volunteering is changing.
- The voice of patients and residents: how it is represented and heard through user representatives (RU) in hospitals and social life councils (CVS) in nursing homes (EHPAD).
- Ethics in the patient / volunteer / healthcare professional relationship: how everyone finds their rightful place and builds a relationship of trust around the person receiving support.
Dr Barthélémy Tosello, professor, hospital practitioner, head of the Neonatal Intensive Care and Medicine Department, and member of the PACA-Corsica Ethical Reflection Forum, will speak at the event.
A chance to share and better understand what being there for someone can bring, and to talk with those who experience it every day.
