Tie-Break le Trio

Tie-Break is first and foremost a trio with a groove. Led by Marseille pianist Cyril Benhamou, the group brings together its harmonies and the distinctive groove of its sound, in the vein of contemporary jazz — Tigran Hamasyan, Avishai Cohen, Robert Glasper. Long improvisations, lively drums and finely woven double bass: music that loves to surprise (and suspend time). A pianist, flautist and composer, Cyril Benhamou is no newcomer: winner of the SACEM Composition Prize, he drew attention during a residency at Le Baiser Salé in Paris, released the albums Three in a Box (2018) and Red Alert (2022), and has performed at Jazz à Vienne, Marseille Jazz des Cinq Continents, Jazz à Juan and Marciac. Modern, melodic and soulful jazz—not to be missed. Cyril Benhamou (piano) · Patrick Ferné (double bass) · Gé Gatto (drums)
