About this event
At Animals Industry and Unité.22, we love family stories. And when one of our own has something to celebrate, we stop time, book out 22 Rue Jobin and throw a party; it’s the love language we found most fitting for welcoming this huge lineup put together by our RAVL.
The latest addition to our little pack of residents, our favorite imp has just released his new EP South Steppas on the excellent label Electric Shapes. A project born under the sun of Sète and conceived alongside Gipsyan and HI ROSIE, somewhere between dub, dancehall, breaks and bass music, where heavy bass meets fractured rhythms and influences from across the Channel.
To celebrate the release as it deserves, we’ve entrusted the club to a joyful crew of producers involved in this EP, to take over on November 28. To make sure we did things properly, RAVL has brought together the whole gang who brought the record to life, ready to fully immerse themselves in the brilliance of South Steppas.
Joining him will be Gipsyan, his collaborator on the EP, as well as Goldie B, HI ROSIE and Smogo, each of whom contributed to the project with a series of remixes. Five artists, five distinct universes and a shared passion for electronic music that likes to stray from the beaten path and bring something new, heavy and beautiful to the French electronic scene.
A night among friends, a lovely collective story and, above all, a great excuse to get together around a powerful sound system.
On November 28, RAVL is treating us. And we’re very happy to hand him the reins, because he knows the club like the back of his hand.
—————— GIPSYAN Gipsyan is a producer/DJ from the south of France. A representative of the Montpellier scene, his productions have found a home on numerous labels such as Nehza Records, Tratratrax, Omakase Recordings, Silence Collapse, Monstart... On stage, he shapes a blend of sharp percussion, heavy bass and dub pads, moving from mutant Dancehall to Leftfield and on to deconstructed Techno, through sound collages and BPM shifts.
GOLDIE B Goldie B is a DJ, producer, multi-instrumentalist, singer and MC whose work escapes fixed categories. She has developed an instinctive, hybrid approach to electronic music, shaped by UK garage, breakbeat, house, bass and nu-jazz. After moving to Marseille in 2017, she co-founded Omakase Recordings, a platform for her first releases, before attracting attention from labels such as D.KO Records. Alongside her studio work, Goldie B maintains an active stage presence, both as a DJ and live performer. She has performed at numerous venues and festivals in France, including Peacock Society, Astropolis, NDK, Marsatac, Kolorz, Delta, Le Bon Air, the Festival d’Avignon and, more recently, the Festival du Sucre. Committed to sharing knowledge, she regularly takes part in the Move Ur Gambette and Sororo Club programs. A resident on Piñata Radio since 2020, she also joined Radio Grenouille in 2025, where she hosts a monthly show exploring the many facets of electronic music. In 2024, she was selected by Apple Music and Tsugi for their Women in Electronic mix series. With her latest EP *Who Says Night’s For Sleeping?* (Pont Neuf Records, 2025), supported by Radio Nova, Tsugi, Mixmag and others, Goldie B is forging a mobile and truly distinctive artistic path within the French electronic music scene.
HI ROSIE He’s finally managed to get out of his room. DJ and producer HI ROSIE, discovered by Laurent Garnier and endorsed by major artists on the global scene such as Tzusing and Sinjin Hawke, makes music rooted in furious, contemporary Bass Music, shaking up the boundaries of the genre. Under the banner of minimalism, the aim is not to add but rather to take away; his truth lies in a pursuit of “overproducing” and a race toward the essential. A quest for simplicity and effectiveness. Between raw FM synthesis, lyrical vocals, romantic orchestral instruments and fractured rhythms, the artist offers us two distinct aesthetics in his music: one that puts the energy of the club and dancing at its center, and another that is much more sensitive and romantic.
SMOGO A producer for nearly 15 years and the driving force behind the Blue Night Jungle label, Smogo is a multi-talented artist raised on British bass music and 2000s techno. Also a sound designer and composer of dark ambient under the pseudonym Primal Era Worship, he likes to develop complex sonic environments, often on the edge of the experimental, focusing on narrative construction and its emotional effects. In his DJ sets, the same desire to entice and transport is clear: his selections are full of deep dubstep, druidstep and deep techno gems, sometimes venturing into drum'n'bass or tribe.
RAVL DJ and producer RAVL delivers a broken, melancholic sound that combines the warmth of analog synthesizers with icy percussion in a polished sound design, imbued with textured Hard Drum, UK Garage and thundering Techno. His productions reflect his influences: rooted in Bass Music intertwined with Anglo-Saxon Techno, at the crossroads of IDM and Jungle, at times tinged with shamanic South American Club culture, giving rise to a unique, hybrid and resolutely modern style. A prolific producer, he has released music on the acclaimed labels YUKU, [re]sources, Bad Tips, Blue Night Jungle and Nü Kvlture, which put out the much-acclaimed «Outrenoir », played around the world, including by Blumitsu at Boomtown Fair and by Jamie XX at Making Time.
