Bande artist - ZEF co-production Theater - Musical and documented autofiction Born of the union between an Algerian woman and a French man, Anaïs Allais Benbouali invites you into a household that could be hers or yours. Opening up the scope of her own story, she gathered the testimonies of several Franco-Algerian couples between Sevran and Marseille. Her own voice joins this investigation, brought onto the stage and set alongside those of the people she met. Does a mixed couple malfunction where society fails? At what point do History and politics intrude into love stories? Weaving together the intimate and the documentary, she creates a work in which individual paths encounter collective memory... And then there is this glass of water. An ordinary object, a familiar gesture, a discreet presence that runs through the entire piece. Gradually, it becomes an enigma: the trace of a heritage whose meaning eludes us, of a secret we approach without ever quite grasping it.
