_**Reinventing Photography**_ _**Reinventing Photography: Stories of Images, the Social Imprint of the Landscape**_ Frac Sud – Cité de l’art contemporain _**Reinventing Photography: The History of Images, in the Beginning Was the Imprint**_ Centre photographique Marseille From 2 July to 28 November 2027 Opening Friday 2 July 2027 As part of the Bicentenary of photography, Frac Sud and Centre Photographique Marseille are joining forces to present the national photographic commission “Reinventing Photography”, supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Centre national des arts plastiques. This commission brings together fifteen artists’ projects demonstrating the vitality of contemporary creation in the expanded field of photography. The works of the fifteen winners are exhibited in Marseille as a two-part exhibition, presented simultaneously at Frac Sud, Cité de l’art contemporain, and Centre photographique Marseille, in the Joliette / Euromed district. This exhibition will open ahead of the Rencontres d’Arles, as part of the Grand Arles Express. The public will discover two complementary approaches: one highlighting the social imprint of landscapes, the other exploring the origins of the image through the technical meaning of imprint.
