Centre Solea is delighted to welcome Guadalupe Torres for the first time for an exceptional masterclass!

Guadalupe Torres graduated in Spanish dance and flamenco from the Royal Professional Conservatory of Dance in Madrid and trained with renowned flamenco masters.

Her professional career began with the Andalusian Dance Company of Seville, after which she worked with major companies such as Maria Pagés, Marco Flores and Manuel Liñan, and in productions by great masters such as Antonio Gades and Carlos Saura.

Teaching plays an important role in her career. Guadalupe Torres has become one of the most sought-after flamenco teachers. She leads classes and workshops in Spain and abroad, particularly in Japan, China, Italy, Argentina, Brazil and Israel. Her teaching, adapted to all levels and attentive to each student’s needs, has established her as a renowned teacher and choreographer in many schools, conservatories and festivals.

“Teaching allows me to learn every day, with every student, everywhere. Through dance, I discover their culture, customs and emotions. I analyze every movement so that I can pass it on with affection and enjoy doing so. Teaching is a source of joy and enthusiasm. Regardless of the place or age, flamenco transcends borders and dance sets us free. This art allows us to share unique moments.”

Organization: Centre Solea

At 68 Rue Sainte in the 1st arrondissement, and just steps from the Old Port, Casa Flamenca Solea is a historic venue that welcomes visitors into an Andalusian tavern or “peña trianera” setting.

When you walk through Solea’s doors, you are immediately struck by the warmth and conviviality of the place.

That is because Marco knows how to handle hospitality and logistics.

A true pillar of the venue, he is also its designer and decorator. Master of ceremonies for tablaos and workshops, his charismatic personality truly embodies the spirit of the place.
