The new display at the Musée Cantini invites visitors to reconsider its collections through Marseille, its port history, its lived or imagined territories and its diasporas. Connected by shipping routes to the shores of the Mediterranean, the Americas and Asia, Marseille was, in the 20th century, the nerve center of numerous intellectual and artistic exchanges. A new focus on intersections and hybridization in artistic production leads to breaking down divisions between art forms and materials, highlighting the links between painting, photography, film, sculpture and poetry.

The tour is led by the museum's education team and interpreters from the Centre d'Interprétariat de Liaison en Langue des Signes Française.
