About this event
After staying there from 2014 to 2020, poet and storyteller Claire Bastier returned to Jerusalem several times after October 7, 2023, collecting the words and sounds of everyday life in Israeli and Palestinian communities.
Bringing this material home and making it available for interpretation, she entrusts its density to two improvising artists who are not paralyzed by the tragedy of everyday life and who decide to approach it through the means of vocal improvisation for Catherine Jauniaux, and electroacoustics for François Wong.
At the latter’s initiative, this experience attempts to compose—with the pain of a war—the possibility of a tomorrow. Art sometimes allows what horror has paralyzed to circulate again. Thus hope for the day after is born.
