Gautier Capuçon & Frank Braley

Gautier Capuçon, cello Frank Braley, piano

Gautier Capuçon is both one of the greatest cellists in the musical world and a popular musician. Whether he is playing with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, at Johnny’s funeral, at the top of the Eiffel Tower or Mont Blanc, at Notre-Dame or in Marseille, he remains the same: focused, warm and relaxed.

A reliable and open-minded partner, Frank Braley has pursued an unconventional career in which freedom has the final say.

Together, they perform the complete cycle of Beethoven’s five sonatas for cello and piano. From the freshness of the first two to the depth of the last two, via the Third’s flamboyant generosity, every facet of Beethoven is represented.
