Gerda et les persévérances du coeur

Performance by Cie Mana Théâtre for ages 5 and up. A performance based on Andersen’s “The Snow Queen.” Kay has disappeared without a trace, and Gerda’s sadness is so great that she has decided to sleep for a hundred years, perhaps a thousand. But then her dream takes the reins of the story and invites us to follow it ever farther, all the way to the white lands of Lapland, at the farthest reaches of the Snow Queen’s glittering kingdom … Carried by a single actress navigating between narration, embodiment and the manipulation of objects (her scene partners), the performance tells the initiatory journey of a little girl whose wandering, transformed into perseverance, ultimately awakens the beating heart of a story threatened by frost. And weaves the threads of a metamorphosis.
