Les noms du père
A son seeks to understand the silence surrounding his father’s death. By piecing together a lost letter, he follows the thread of a family memory haunted by the Algerian War and the wounds of the colonial past.
About this event
On stage, a son searches for his departed father’s voice. A torn letter, a mother who remains silent, a grandfather who lies. In the family silences, another story surfaces: that of a father divided in two, between France and Algeria, bound together by guilt and memory. Between ghosts, stories and fragments, Les noms du père gives the dead a voice so the living can, at last, be silent in a different way.
