Jok'Air: the journey of a melodic rapper with XXL ambitions
Born on September 23, 1991, in Paris, Jok'Air (whose real name is Melvin Félix Aka) grew up in the 13th arrondissement before co-founding the MZ collective. Going solo in 2017, he quickly established himself in French rap with a style combining hip-hop and R&B influences, illustrated by tracks such as La mélodie des quartiers pauvres. His gold-certified album Jok'Travolta marked a significant first commercial milestone.
Jok'Air's career accelerated further with the platinum-certified single Mon Survet and the album Les jolies filles aiment Jok'Air, which entered the French charts directly at number 4 in its launch week in March 2025. How do you get to the Dôme de Marseille?
To reach Le Dôme de Marseille by car, two routes are recommended: from the A7 motorway, take the Plombières exit; from the A50 motorway, take the La Timone exit. The main car park beneath the Hôtel du Département, accessible via the Giratoire Barry, offers 580 free spaces for spectators with a ticket (vehicles must be collected at the end of the performance). There is also a paid car park nearby, but it fills up quickly on event nights.
By public transport, the most convenient option is metro line M1, with Saint-Just – Hôtel du Département station just a 2-minute walk from the Dôme. Several RTM bus routes also serve the area (72, 82, 81, 53, B2, 33, 34), with a night service available. St Just Raguse stop is a 1-minute walk away. For timetables, contact RTM at 04 91 91 92 10 or visit its website.
Our advice: take metro line M1 to Saint-Just – Hôtel du Département station, a 2-minute walk from the Dôme. It is the fastest and most comfortable option for avoiding traffic jams on concert evenings.
