La promesse de Charlie

As it approaches its thirty-fifth anniversary, Badaboum théâtre is delighted to continue offering performances for all ages, including the very youngest. This is the story of a little girl, Charlie, who, to recover her lost, forgotten and jumbled voice and words, decides to make herself a theatre… out of paper, so that she can tell her story and share with us what life has taught her, and what she would have liked someone to explain to her while she was learning to speak. Conceived as an artistic work and a tool for preventing sexual violence against children, the production delicately addresses essential questions—the emotions, knowledge of the body, the notion of consent—and this simple but fundamental question: when is a game no longer a game?
