Les Fourberies de Scapin

Scapin stops at nothing. Not improbable stories, threats or blows with a stick; no trick, no prank, nothing frightens him—anything goes to shake “the fainthearted who, by anticipating the consequences of things too much, dare undertake nothing.”

First to serve his own needs as a bon vivant, prankster and eternal enthusiast, but also the interests of two young men tangled up in romantic complications and troubled by authoritarian, miserly fathers.

Scapin reigns at the center of the cyclone he creates, where desperate lovers, furious parents and characters straight out of his leaping imagination whirl around, along with a sprinkling of happy ending, in the Molière tradition.
