About this event

Nadir Ben is a French-Algerian singer-songwriter who draws inspiration from both shores of the Mediterranean.

Nourished by the legacy of Arab-Andalusian music, the warm songs of Oran raï and the captivating rhythms of the desert Gnawas, he creates a distinctive musical universe at the crossroads of Maghrebi traditions and contemporary folk pop.

Originally from Oran, his hometown, and introduced to the subtleties of Andalusian music as a child in Tlemcen, Nadir Ben draws on his roots to sing tenderly about the romance, poetry and emotions of North African life. Through his compositions, he gives voice to stories of exile, memories of a homeland and the turmoil of Mediterranean history, while celebrating the richness of human encounters and the universal power of music.

Today, Nadir Ben presents a new acoustic quartet featuring accordion, guitar, percussion and bass. This intimate, vibrant ensemble revisits his repertoire with warm arrangements, where lively rhythms meet delicate melodies and Mediterranean sounds.

Driven by the rapport between the musicians, this quartet promises a truly musical journey of tenderness, groove and energy, celebrating the blending of cultures and influences. At the heart of this adventure, Nadir Ben's distinctive, expressive voice will guide you from one shore to the other, inviting you to be carried away by the poetry of his songs and the magic of his world.
