Regards croisés, collection photographique Regards de Provence
A showcase of 27 photographers whose perspectives turn toward Marseille, the Mediterranean, landscapes, the body and the imagination.
About this event
The Musée Regards de Provence presents a selection from its photographic collection, bringing together 27 photographic artists with distinctive perspectives. The exhibition creates a dialogue between artists, eras and territories through varied photographic approaches, from Marseille to the Mediterranean, from landscape to the body, from reality to the imagination.
Marseille is one of the guiding threads of this selection, with its emblematic places, while landscapes, the sea and horizons compose a sensitive geography of the Mediterranean. Each photographer renews the way these territories are viewed through framing, light, perspective or staging.
The exhibition also explores the boundaries between reality and fiction through humour, dislocation and the absurd, as well as representations of the body, between aesthetics, landscape and social questioning. Regards Croisés thus invites visitors to discover the affinities, resonances and confrontations between works that testify to the richness and diversity of photographic creation.
