Selva - Compagnie Zania

Selva was born from a desire to explore, through the body and sound, the processes of research, transformation and reconstruction that shape contemporary women. The project inhabits a hybrid territory where contemporary circus engages in dialogue with music and dance from different popular cultures. The female figure traveling through time and space becomes a living archetype, a mirror reflecting memory, change and a woman’s relationship with nature. In a historical context marked by uncertainty, Selva offers a space for introspection, pause and listening. With humor and delicacy, the performance addresses the difficulty of finding a path when both the outside world and the inner world are undergoing transformation. The stage thus becomes a place for questions: what do we still hold precious within us, and what, on the other hand, do we drag along as a burden?

Selva is an invitation to retrace, step by step, the path we have traveled and, if necessary, transform it
