Trio Wakan was born from the meeting of Francesca Han, a rising jazz piano star from Korea who came through New York, double bassist Pierre Fenichel and drummer Fred Pasqua. Inspired by the timeless literary legacy of Alexandre Dumas and his iconic character Edmond Dantès, Being Dantès promises a musical and sonic experience that mirrors the hero’s coming-of-age journey, always charged with tension. An original, contemporary repertoire explores, through a series of tableaux, the decisive moments in Dantès’s inner adventure, through compositions that feel clear and familiar, yet each conceal a complex and unique structure.
