Join us on Saturday, October 24 at La Cômerie from 2 p.m. for a festive, artistic and engaged day! For its second edition, SINGA Marseille is opening the doors to a celebration where cultures mix and inspire one another. A day to celebrate the encounters, journeys and talents that make the city’s heart beat. Workshops, market, music, finger food and stand-up! Together, let’s make diversity shine in Marseille!

At a time when some are building walls and trying to divide us, SINGA Marseille chooses to throw its doors wide open. By bringing together people from Marseille, artists and entrepreneurs from different backgrounds, the Bazar Festival embodies this energy: that of a lively, welcoming and creative Marseille, where we celebrate what connects rather than what separates. Throughout the day, La Cômerie becomes a great bazaar of cultures and talents: a creators’ market, workshops, discussions, open stages and concerts follow one another in a friendly atmosphere full of discoveries and surprises.

Founded in 2012, SINGA is an international organization that accelerates the inclusion of newcomers to foster more united, creative and prosperous societies. The organization now has more than 80,000 members in Europe and North America (in 7 countries and 17 cities). In Marseille, since 2019, the association has supported people daily through 3 main programs:

• Entrepreneurial support: enabling local people and newcomers to complete their entrepreneurial or nonprofit projects.

• Socio-cultural activities: creating connections between local people and newcomers through shared passions (art, cooking, sport, culture, solidarity…).

• Awareness and advocacy: raising awareness of the inclusion of newcomers and the richness of interculturality.

The Bazar Festival is free, so that the celebration is accessible to everyone. But we are counting on your support to keep our activities going throughout the year: if you wish, you can make a donation when you register. It is tax-deductible up to 66% of its amount (within the limit set by law), and you will receive a tax receipt. Program

🍴 Finger food: to delight the curious all day long

Organized by: Singa Marseille

Singa Marseille promotes the inclusion of newcomers in society.

Our purpose: to create connections between local people and refugees or asylum seekers in Marseille and the surrounding area.

Our mission: to foster a fraternal and friendly community through activities and meetings that encourage dialogue and sharing and develop all citizens’ open-mindedness.

We organize events open to everyone, bringing together between 20 and 50 people: informal gatherings, hikes, museum visits, cooking workshops...

THE PROGRAMMMM! THE PROGRAMMMM! GET YOUR PROGRAM. Autumn is gently arriving at La Cômerie, and this month we’re putting food in the spotlight! Starting October 10, the restaurant will also open on Saturday lunchtimes: a chance to get together over generous, convivial food. We’ll take the opportunity to question the way we eat, with talks on food social security, and open our kitchens to people taking part in the Singa association’s incubator program. To finish in style, it’s the turn of the local Plateforme Paysanne, which supplies us, to shine a light on the people who bring food to our plates. And of course, your favorite events are back, including the flea market followed by its unmissable disco dance party, not to mention our very first event dedicated to comics! And congratulations to @hanna_benmerabet, who joined us as an intern, on the illustration!
