Chaos Magique - Édition 2

CHAOS MAGIQUE — A festival of magic, creativity, and chaos.

Across a period

About this event

Born from collective energy, Chaos Magique champions contemporary, daring, boundary-crossing magic at the intersection of the arts. This year, the festival shines a spotlight on women artists. For three days, they reinvent conventions, push boundaries, and transform how we see reality. Three days to break out of the box, celebrate creativity, and challenge our certainties.

La Faiseuse de Diables, Cie À Corps et Âmes

puppetry, object theatre, singing, magic / All audiences aged 12 and up / Duration: 1h

In hypnosis, the revenge room is a technique used to help the patient replay their memories and explore their limits for cathartic purposes. On stage, there are two of them: Giorgia, the puppet, and Clara, the puppeteer, embarking on this revenge against a past marked by domestic violence. Together, for the duration of a show, they imagine a reversal of roles: moving from victim to perpetrator. The tenderness between them and their dark humor, tinged with pop culture, make this revenge a jubilant moment. Between irony and liberation, with sisterhood, singing, and confetti, they invite the audience to examine the link between violence and the pursuit of justice, and the process of healing oneself.

Concept, puppetry, and performance: Clara Chapelet

Outside eye and co-direction: Pierrik Malebranche

ALys Markiz DJ Set

DJ, singer, and performer,

MarKiz / MrKz summons the energy of bodies in motion.

MarKiz is rumbling bass and punchy vocals: from Kuduro to RnB, via hip-hop and afrobeats, with her, women take the lead.

Getting people moving and letting go through dance: for MarKiz, music is not just a means of expression, but a weapon for change and a remedy for the soul. Mixing glitter and sweat is a reminder to the world that even in the darkest moments, unity through dance and celebration will always bring light.

AMOURS, Muchmuche Company

Created in 2025 / circus choreography and live music, ages 12 and up / duration 1h

Amours is a circus and live music duo, performed by Mathilde Roy and Zerolex. It begins with a question: do you want us to love each other? That leads to another: how do we do that? And then more... increasingly sensitive questions. The form proposed by Roland Barthes in his Fragments d’un discours amoureux inspires a sequence of short scenes. They give shape to a collection of existential questions and present different facets of love.

The aim is to summon love by questioning it. The show celebrates unanswered questions and pays tribute to what connects us. Continuing the approach of previous creations, technique and choreography give a symbolic and poetic dimension to a concrete subject. The performers’ bodies and movements invite the audience into an intimate and offbeat world.

Mathilde Roy: writer and performer Zerolex: musical creation and performance

DEADWOOD

An electro-blues band with a dark, hypnotic, distinctive sound.

DEADWOOD is an intense, immersive stage project combining hallucinated blues, rock,

noise, and electronic textures, driven by raw, visceral energy.

“Rarely have we heard such a juxtaposition of genres, so far apart, with none of them worn out.

(...) You could almost tell the tales of a ghost town given over to brothels, chicken thieves, and other games of five-card draw.

This Western setting is drowned in a metallic crash and always rises again triumphant.

Two worlds colliding, leaving only their essence: the blues.”

Memory, magic, and escape

Solo theatre and mild obsession / ages 12 and up / 25 minutes

For the festival’s final evening, Chloé Vivarès presents a singular solo performance at the intersection of theatre, literature, magic, and memory performance.

To embody on stage a woman capable of forgetting nothing, Chloé Vivarès began training her memory. She learned numbers, names, dates, lists… and, little by little, never really stopped. Twenty minutes to discover how far a performer’s training can go when the character starts to rub off on the person playing her. An act of memory, theatre, and mild obsession.

Organized by: MICRO FOCUS

At the intersection of disciplines, the collective’s field of exploration is the Real, the Ordinary, and the Extraordinary, with a desire to question the limits of genre as well as spectacle. The collective’s ambition is to perform in likely or unlikely venues and work primarily in public spaces.

The aim? To create astonishing shows focused on transforming the landscape, playing with the construction of time and space-time, taking the protagonists on an emotional journey, and casting a veil over reality.

Questioning “beliefs”

The collective also wants to invite its audiences to question “Our Beliefs” and challenge even our most deeply rooted certainties.

This is what brought us together, united by a shared desire to “do something different.” The Micro Focus Collective now includes around twenty artists.
