Il Risveglio - L’éveil
Rise up, the dead—the alarm has rung! Faced with a rumbling world, let’s not be defeated and let’s force ourselves to live (again). Pippo Delbono says so; he is also the one who embodies it.
About this event
To rise again, you must have fallen. Pippo Delbono knows this better than anyone, having been crushed by misfortune when his partner died. So, unusually, the author, actor and director tells of his fears and anxieties, drowned in the melancholy of a cello. It is as sad as a funeral march, as sad as the war, suffering and pain that surround us. Should we sink or wake up?
Pippo Delbono has made his choice. Little by little, the music becomes joyful, dance takes possession of the bodies, carrying us—still groggy—into the whirlpool of life. Like an Italian Renaissance.
