La chair est triste hélas
One day she could no longer do it. Sleep with men. Pretend. Anna Mouglalis takes hold of the text written and directed by Ovidie, and gives voice to its striking force. Cutting.
About this event
In the beginning, there were these words thrown out as a release by writer Ovidie, who had voluntarily gone on a sex strike. Then this cry of exasperation became a rallying cry for many equally weary women. Today, this hard-hitting text is brought to the stage by an actress who, too, does not mince her words.
And when Anna Mouglalis raises her voice, it packs a punch! With fierce humour, she takes on the heterosexual model that has ossified romantic relationships, in order to torpedo it more effectively. Her anger hits us full in the face, leaving us somewhat stunned: some lashes of the whip are wake-up calls.
