Morphé

In a country at war, a father tells his daughter a tale about the birth of the world. In the heart of a small village, a man has built a wooden theater. One night, he brings his daughter Macha to this theater, which he has named “The Blue Whale.” To reassure Macha, who fears that the war will catch up with them, her father performs his latest show for her. A poem about the birth of the world entitled Morphē. Generations later, his grandson becomes the keeper of this story. With a wooden set, Simon Falguières and Karine Feuillebois, accompanied by two puppeteers, create a visual and poetic theater piece evoking resistance and lineage. This fable, which pays tribute to artists in wartime, combines clowning, dance and object theater with the grace and humor of a Charlie Chaplin film. A creation with burlesque accents that carries audiences of all ages into a resolutely magical world. Text, direction and set design by Simon Falguières With Simon Falguières and Karine Feuillebois.
