Nuit du cirque - Run Run, Collectif Merkén
Enter the allegorical world of Run Run, a character suspended from a carousel-like frame like a human puppet, traversing several decades of political and economic change as a delighted collector of objects.
About this event
A theater, puppetry and suspension performance by Collectif Merkén, ages 10 and up, running time 1h20.
In a town outside of time, Run Run is a marginal character and collector of objects. Through this delighted witness’s eyes, the buried secrets of a village transformed by a coup d’état and relentless industrialization gradually come to light: those who disappeared and the victims of successive regimes, buried beneath the residents’ complicit silence.
For several weeks, students from Rosa Parks middle school took part in discovery and artistic practice workshops with the company’s artists, in connection with the performance. They will share the stage with the artists
