A feminist solo +1 cabaret manifesto
An intimate and furious circo-bouffon show in which we will attempt, through explosive bursts of laughter, to free ourselves from the foul and sticky codes of patriarchy.
It is a literal and figurative split between the Baroque and my pop culture.
I am a true thief: I draw from forgotten myths, nightmarish Disneys, worn-out female stars squeezed like lemons and the plastic little mermaids of my sugar-coated childhood, from Shakespeare’s tempest where we want to make room and be forgiven, from Britney Creepie Bitch on my worst New Year’s Day, from my troubles and fantasies as a balanced alcoholic that will prevent me from becoming the fantasized messiah-monster of Virginie Despentes, from dubious resolutions and the life of false appearances; I am also possessed by the ghost of Dalidead, who returns from hell to truly die onstage in the arms of her beloved audience, I even steal the final scene from Arianne Mnouchkine’s film Molière, and I am Molière. I want to take my place, all of my place in the sun. It flows, it overflows. We want more... gimme gimme more! I will sing Mozart until I make you cry, I will spin my breasts like compasses to make them take off.
